The project is part of the exhibition “Postal Savings, from the Piggy Bank to the Stamp,” curated by Giulio Iacchetti. The piggy bank is interpreted as a cultural object, capable of embodying savings both as a daily practice and as a symbolic gesture directed toward the future. Bed coin is an unusual piggy bank that harks back to a time when savings were kept safely under the mattress. Because sometimes, it’s not about Bitcoin. The real luxury is sleeping peacefully on your own capital.

Il progetto è parte della mostra “Il risparmio postale, dal salvadanaio al francobollo” curata da Giulio Iacchetti. Il salvadanaio è interpretato come oggetto culturale, capace di incarnare il risparmio sia come pratica quotidiana sia come gesto simbolico rivolto al futuro. Bed coin è un insolito salvadanaio che rimanda ai tempi passati, quando si usava mettere i propri risparmi al sicuro sotto al materasso. Come dire: altro che bit coin! Il futuro è dormire serenamente sopra ai propri capitali!
